During the last week of September 2024, the YES Forum hosted a 5-day A.M.O.R. training in Stuttgart, Germany, bringing together educators, social workers, and young people from Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, Poland, Bulgaria and Spain. The training aimed to familiarise participants with key outcomes of the A.M.O.R. project, particularly the "Good Practice Catalogue" and the "Digital Handbook", both designed to promote inclusive practices in digital and physical environments.
Day one focused on the "Good Practice Catalogue", presented by Rafael Balparda from Calasanz Santurtzi and Robin Gaastra from the YES Forum. The session included a presentation, a Kahoot quiz, and group activities that sparked engaging discussions on best practices in inclusive youth work.
On Tuesday, the spotlight shifted to inclusivity in digital group work, led by Ali Honaramiz from The Future Now Association. Through a World Café-style workshop, participants brainstormed strategies to enhance digital participation and adapt tools to diverse needs. In the afternoon, Kristjan Veber from MCC introduced newly developed guidelines for inclusivity in digital spaces, which generated lively discussions and further group work.
The week also saw hands-on sessions with Ana Ribeiro from AEVA, who presented Chapter 3 of the Digital Handbook, focusing on a collection of tools. Participants tried out energisers and digital tools from the handbook, evaluating their effectiveness. Gosia Nazimek from Danmar Computers then introduced Chapter 4, showcasing video tutorials created by project partners, with participants offering feedback on their usefulness.
The final day was dedicated to reflection. Participants shared their feedback on the week’s activities and discussed how the training had deepened their understanding of inclusivity. The session allowed organisers to gather insights and align future steps for the project.
