From 26-27 February 2025, YES Forum and 13 partners from 10 countries across the Danube Region met in Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) to celebrate a key milestone—the successful completion of the first year of the Back on Track (BoT) Project. The meeting was an opportunity to present and reflect on great achievements, strengthen partnerships, and set the course for the next phase of activities.

Funded by the Interreg Danube Region Programme, the BoT project officially launched in January 2024 with a strong mission to support NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training), particularly in rural areas. The project works to foster their (re)integration into education, training, and the labour market by strengthening their basic skills, resilience, and virtual mobility.

Beyond celebrating the project’s great progress, YES Forum, in collaboration with the BoT consortium, has already started preparing for the upcoming BoT Policy Event. This high-impact conference will bring together EU officials, policymakers, youth professionals, young people and European stakeholders to discuss the needed social investments for effective policies and strategies to empower NEETs in Europe.

With a strong foundation and a shared vision, BoT partners remain dedicated to driving positive change and shaping a brighter future for disadvantaged young people in the Danube Region.
