In December, YES Forum became an official member of the EESC Liaison Group. This move places us at the heart of a unique platform designed to bridge the gap between civil society organisations and EU institutions, and enhancing our network’s role in shaping policies that directly impact the lives of young people.

By joining the EESC Liaison Group, YES Forum will contribute to discussions that influence the EU agenda, ensuring that the perspectives of disadvantaged youth are part of decision-making processes as envisioned by Article 11 of the Treaty on European Union.

At the same time, this membership opens new opportunities for YES Forum to collaborate with the Group's members to advocate for meaningful change, and to forge a more inclusive future through the promotion of a Europe where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.

What is the Liaison Goup?

Since 2004, the Liaison Group has played a key role in strengthening the relationship between European civil society organisations and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). As a structured platform for dialogue and cooperation, it provides a space where networks and umbrella organisations can engage with EU institutions on issues that matter to them.

The Liaison Group serves as a channel for civil society to contribute to the EU agenda, ensuring that diverse voices are part of policy discussions. By fostering civil dialogue and promoting participatory democracy, it enables organisations to advocate for the interests of their communities and influence decision-making at the European level.
