Young people who would like to know more about green European policies have now a new tool for it. The UPin partners have finalised 8 videos about the European Green Deal, the strategy to transform the European Union into climate-neutral.

Each video explores various aspects of the Green Deal, from renewable energy to eco-friendly practices. They offer an overview of the main fields covered by this European policy, highlighting their impact on young people's lives. Subtitles in German, Italian and Norwegian will be available soon.

This format complements the publication "The European Green Deal - What it is?" which also explains the actions European institutions are implementing to tackle climate change in eight fields. Its content has been adapted to be shared on social media to better reach young people and raise their awareness about European policies.

Educational materials

The project partners are currently working on a third resource to bring young people closer to the Green Deal. In the coming months, they will produce a manual for teachers and trainers compiling several methodologies to use both the publication and the videos in an educational context as well as instructions on how to produce short videos.

To coordinate these steps, partners met in Palermo on 5 - 6 September. They also work further on the organisation of the training for young people that will be held in October, again in Sicily.
