During my six-month internship from February to August, I embarked on a transformative journey with YES Forum. At a time when I felt lost and uncertain about my path, I seized the opportunity to contribute to a cause that aligned with my core values of making a positive impact.
Immersing myself in various aspects of NGO operations, including funding, logistics, and communication management, I gained invaluable insights and experiences. However, what truly stood out were the moments of self-discovery and clarity. This internship served as a compass, guiding me towards my true passion and purpose.
As I delved into projects like READY and U.Pin, I witnessed firsthand the power of technology and innovation in creating meaningful change. From translating complex EU provisions into user-friendly infographics to elucidating the European Green Deal to young people, I realized the immense potential of leveraging tech tools to foster effective communication and empower others.
This experience has not only solidified my desire to make a positive impact but also influenced a significant career transition. Previously focused on international relations, I have realized that my true calling lies in the intersection of technology and social impact. The internship has propelled me towards the tech field, where I aim to utilize AI, innovative tools, and technological advancements to drive positive transformation and address societal challenges.
With newfound clarity and determination, I am inspired to forge ahead on this new career path. By combining my passion for making a difference with the power of technology, I am eager to contribute to causes that can make a lasting impact on society.
