The background

The Zug um Zug - Train to Europe project aims, through different learning formats, to train professionals and young people in different fields of mobile youth work to get new orientation through mobility. The two main results provide professionals with tools for a new format of mobile youth work in the context of non-formal education. Young people inlvoved in the project are strengthened and empowered and get the chance to build a cross-border network.

The activities

Train to Europe combines four local pedagogical activities (development of a simulation game) with two training sessions for professionals, a training and encounter week for young people and the development of a methodological and thematic library. The themes of mobility and digital literacy will be intertwined with offline literacy and green literacy. The project will be concluded with national events for multiplication and dissemination.

The activities will be conducted in German.

The results

The project will produce two publications: a simulation game (for mobile activities) and a library of methods and themes that will show new formats for non-formal learning activities with young people on the move and at destinations. Furthermore, through the professional trainings and the training and encounter week, we will develop the competences of both professionals and young people. There will be final showcase events.
